10 TO 15 JUNE - GARDA
The municipality of Garda will host five days of screenings, meetings with authors and protagonists of Italian cinema, in a uniquely fascinating setting.
The new Garda Cinema, directed by journalist and critic Franco Dassisti, will award the best of the Italian film season with the presence of exceptional guests.
Enriching the programme is the International Short Film Competition with fiction and documentary works, which will award a cash prize, as well as a possible special mention for the best animation short.
The theme of this edition is ‘Beyond the Border’, the leitmotif of the selection.
The two main locations will be the Sala Congressi, dedicated to screenings, and the courtyard of the Palazzo del Municipio, on the Regina Adelaide lakefront, for the gala evenings.
The festival will be identified with a ‘bissa’, a traditional boat of the lake, a symbol of the link with the territory and a metaphor for the journey of cinema beyond all borders.
Garda Cinema is preparing to become an unmissable summer event for lovers of the big screen.
Admission is free, and for some performances payment is required after purchasing tickets online.
