EASTER IN TREMOSINE

On the day of Holy Easter, the S-Ciapì Festival is held, which originates from an ancient local folk tradition. The stars of the feast are hard-boiled eggs coloured with infusions of herbs or peel.

The game consists of holding a hard-boiled egg while the opponent hits it with another egg. The winner is the one who manages to keep his own intact and break the other's: the 'loser' must hand over the egg to the 'winner'.

The game has kept intact the ancient and simple flavour of tradition and catapults participants into a bygone context where people knew how to have fun with little and being able to put an extra egg on their table could be very important.
