"A painful but necessary decision." These are the words with which Lauro Sabaini, mayor of Bardolino, announces that the 91 edition of the Bardolino Grape and Wine Festival, scheduled from 1 to 5 October, will be postponed to 2021.

An announcement that comes after numerous attempts to confirm the appointment, also looking for alternative solutions, but which the government's prolongation of the health emergency has definitively destroyed: "We waited until the last, together with the Bardolino Top Foundation, which organizes the 'event, to understand what the regulatory changes were and if there would be any changes after July 31 - continued Lauro Sabaini - but given the situation we cannot risk having the country stormed as in previous years.

It's just a goodbye, mind you, just as I can guarantee that the Foundation is revising its billboard to offer other types of entertainment that are in full compliance with the rules ".

The Bardolino Top Foundation, a body owned by the Municipality for the promotion of tourism and the organization of events, however, does not stop and is reshaping a series of appointments for the autumn: "We cannot and we do not want to stop, also because some types of events they can still be done - continued De Beni - The staff is working on reviewing all the events scheduled for next autumn, creating new ones and modifying those that can be adapted to the moment. Our goal remains that of not missing out on entertainment for tourists and trying to lengthen the tourist season ».
