Although tourist activity is considerably reduced during the colder months, there is no shortage of opportunities to have fun on Lake Garda, especially if you are a sports and nature lover.
When Mount Baldo turns white, with the panoramic cable car open 10 months a year, you can quickly reach the ski slopes, enjoy some nice snowshoeing, or do some excellent ski mountaineering; all with a view of the lake!
On Monte Baldo you will find four ski slopes with several variations.
You can ski on tracks of medium difficulty such as the Colma and Pozza slopes, or tackle the two steep walls of Prà Alpesina.
For beginners there is a baby slope perfect for learning, the Paperino. The slope is always exposed to the sun.
There is also a ski school and rentals where you can find skis, snowboards, sleds and snowshoes.
Snow aside, in the warmer hours of winter you can climb on the sunniest crags or do some hiking or mountain biking on the low altitude trails that are always clear of snow.
