SUP is a popular water sport all over the world, and numerous practitioners are also on Lake Garda. Those who practice it stand on a board and move around using a paddle.
Sup, stand-up paddling, is a very fashionable sport in recent times and Lake Garda is the ideal place to practice it thanks to its many beaches and favourable climate.
The fast spread of this sport is due to the speed of learning. In fact, sup is a crossover sport, easy, autonomous, rewarding, and fun. And if that were not enough, it can be practised all year round. The only limitation is that you have to be able to swim.
Beware though, paddling is not easy to learn. It is always best to make use of the experience of a good instructor and on Lake Garda you can find excellent ones.
In various locations around Lake Garda it is possible to find schools or centres where the necessary equipment is rented, and where it is therefore possible to try out this sport. These include Garda, Castelletto di Brenzonone, Malcesine, Navene and Manerba del Garda.
